In this magical multidisciplinary performance, DalChorus and members of the DalTheatre puppetry class take you on a journey through a winter night. With celestial music, star stories, and shadow puppetry, we celebrate and unite traditions that use various symbols of light returning after times of darkness.听
DalChorus will welcome Halifax Regional Arts Soundtrax Choir, directed by Dr. Fran Farrell to share the Joseph Strug Concert Hall stage for the first time. You will get to see the DalTheatre student puppeteers in action, and of course, hear the beautiful music of the DalChorus, directed by Dr Nicole Jordan with pianist, Joseph Dowell.
From traditional Christmas songs such as I Wonder as I Wander arranged by Nicole Jordan, the well-known Choose Something Like a Star, from Frostiana by Randal Thompson, to the exciting voice and body percussion piece, Singkap Siaga by Tracey Wong, you will experience celebrations of light and shadow from around the world.
