Trainees
Dara Liu is in her third year of Medicine at 9 1免费版下 (Class of 2026). Prior to her current studies, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at McGill University. During her undergraduate degree, she conducted a thesis project with the Eating Disorders Program at the Douglas Research Center, examining the efficacy of a stepped-care model in the treatment of eating disorders. Dara is currently conducting her Research in Medicine Project with Dr. Janice Graham and Dr. Jeannette Comeau, in collaboration with OntarioMD examining the relationship between physicians, their use of health information technology, and associated burnout.
Ella Hunter is entering her third year of the Bachelor of Arts and Science in Health program at St. Francis Xavier University. Along with working as a Research Assistant for Dr. Christina Holmes, Ella works at a daycare and volunteers for a local all girls baseball program. Her passion and experience working with kids has led her to an interest in studying a multitude of aspects of childhood. Ella hopes to continue her studies at St. Francis Xavier after she finishes the health program by pursuing her Bachelor of Education using her knowledge from the health program to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters positive experiences for all.
Joshua Langston is a second-year law student at 9 1免费版下鈥檚 Schulich School of Law.听 Prior to studying law, Joshua completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at 9 1免费版下, with honors in Law Justice in Society and minors in History and Chinese Studies.听 His undergraduate honors thesis explored the intersection of public health and racial inequalities in Nova Scotia, examining the role the provincial government played in the neglect of Halifax鈥檚 Africville community. 听 Through work and education, Joshua has taken an interest in social justice and human rights and environmental issues. He intends to work in these areas upon completion of his Juris Doctor.
