Empowering women

9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ Women’s Connection is a collective of alumni who have been, and continue to be, focused on the empowerment of 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ women and the enhancement of the student experience. Through events, programming, and community collaboration, the Women’s Connection encourages fellow alumni to contribute to the advancement of women and a positive experience for all 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ students. 

9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ Women’s Connection operates on 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂ’s core values of diversity, inclusion, empowerment, and equity with members participating at varying levels of commitment, locally and across the province and country.

Our story: a history of community involvement

The 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ Women’s Connection (formerly the Women’s Division) has a rich history in empowering women and enhancing the student experience.

Over the years, the group has strengthened and contributed to the 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ community through:

  • Supporting student scholarships, bursaries, and awards opportunities
  • Hosting signature events like the Student Musicale in partnership with the Fountain School of Performing Arts
  • Overseeing the upgrades and improvements to Shirreff Hall’s Victorian Lounge, library, and study hall 

Our mission

The 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ Women’s Connection’s mission is to advance the best interests of 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂ, by engaging women alumni and everyone in enhancing the student experience and empowering all women in 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂ's community.
