Have you heard about The 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ (dis)Ability Caucus for Faculty and Staff and have been curious to learn more about who we are and what we do? Did you first hear about the Caucus when you read the previous question?
The Caucus warmly invites you to an open house, meet-and-greet, on November 26 from 2 to 2:50 p.m. in the Mona Campbell Building, room 3111. Come and meet some of our current members, ask all the questions you may have, have a few light refreshments and laughs and if you like, join the first monthly meeting of this academic year immediately following, from 3 to 4 p.m.
Our membership has been comprised of folks with, for example, physical, sensory, developmental, and/or psychological (dis)abilities or conditions, as well as folks with chronic, episodic, acquired, and/or temporary (dis)abilities or conditions. We define (dis)ability broadly and inclusively—members join based on how they self-identify, and the barriers they encounter because of a (dis)ability.
For more information, please contact DDFSC@dal.ca and cc Tereigh.Ewert@dal.ca.
We look forward to meeting you,
The Caucus membership and your co-chairs,
Judy MacDonald
