The Early Modern Studies Program at the University of King鈥檚 College invites applications for a Teaching Assistant position for 鈥淟ove, Lust and Desire in Italian Renaissance Art鈥� (EMSP 3280) in the Fall 2022 Term. The course examines the ways in which the artists, poets, theologians, and philosophers of this period defined and represented the complexities of love and lust. We will analyze themes of desire and taboo in representations of the male and female nude, mythological paintings, the erotics of mysticism in altarpieces, and early modern approaches to pornography in printmaking.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• reading course material
• grading assignments and exams
• holding office hours and assisting students with assignments
• attending lectures (please consult the 9 1免费版下 Academic Timetable regarding class time)
• moderating discussions and/or tutorials
• consulting on a regular basis with the instructor regarding the approach taken in teaching, grading and other expectations

Qualifications and Experience: Candidates may come from various fields but should have at least an undergraduate degree. Graduates with some background in early modern studies, art history, literature, philosophy, classics, or cultural studies are especially encouraged to apply. Prior TA experience is also an asset.

Hourly Rate of Pay:鈥�$25.27 (classification of TA130). The position is conditional on the course鈥檚 final enrollment numbers.
