POSITION: Part-Time Academic

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: School of Social Work

PAY RATE: As per Collective Agreement

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching SLWK 2222.03 鈥淎dvancing Social Justice鈥� Section 02 on Campus. The course will be offered in the Fall session, September to December 2014.

The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation, and evaluation of tests and reports. The part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparations for one-two months preceding course delivery. REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Educational background in social work with extensive experience in social work (or related fields) is required. The successful incumbent is required to have solid knowledge of a variety of social work skills and the ability to impart these skills to students. A Master of Social Work degree, or higher, and previous teaching experience is preferred.
