In celebration of World Water Day, March 22, 2014, Halifax Water and 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂ, Faculty of Engineering would like to congratulate lead author Eliman Camara, and co-authors Dr. Alisha Knowles Water Quality Manager-Halifax Water, Krysta Montreuil-Stantec Consulting, and Dr. Graham Gagnon Professor-9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂ, for their internationally recognized research paper on Halifax Water's Lead Service Line Replacement Program. The paper was published in the August 2013 edition of the Journal of the American Water Works Association (AWWA). The research paper has been selected Best Paper for 2013 by the Distribution and Plant Operations Division of the AWWA.
At the time this research was undertaken, Eliman Camara was a graduate student studying in the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC)-Halifax Water Industrial Research Chair program at 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂ, lead by Dr. Graham Gagnon.
