Biography
Professor of Mechanical Engineering at 9 1免费版下 since 1993 (Technical University of Nova Scotia prior to amalgamation of TUNS and 9 1免费版下 in 1997).听Professor Emeritus and Adjunct Research Professor since March 2022.
Principal investigator听of the听NSERC Discovery Grant听on 鈥淚nteracting Smart Composite Structures and Nano-Composites鈥�
Awarded听the CANCAM Gold Medal for 鈥渢he outstanding contribution in the area of Applied Mechanics鈥� at the Canadian Congress of Applied Mechanics (CANCAM-2011, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC).
Member听of a number of International Editorial and Advisory boards in the area of composite materials and smart structures.
Published听over 350 research publications, including more than 150 papers in the refereed journals, 7 research monographs and 2 US patents.
Reported听research results at the numerous International Conferences and Seminars.
Presented听over 20 invited keynote lectures at the International Conferences on composite materials and smart structures.
Developed and chaired or co-chaired听21 international conferences in the area of composites and smart structures.
