A fixture on the Agricultural Campus for more than 30 years, you would be hard pressed to find anyone who knows the workings of Dal AC better than Brian Crouse. No matter what role he has played over that time, his first priority has always been to our students.
While he only started in an academic advising role this year, Brian鈥檚 years of varied experience on campus make him the best kind of advisor. He is passionate about the Agricultural Campus and genuinely cares about the students. His long tenure at NSAC and now Dal AC also mean that he is incredibly knowledgeable about the campus, the courses and the career paths of students.
That knowledge, combined with his calm, patient and thorough approach to advising, make him an invaluable resource to students, staff and faculty. He is equally at ease working with students with academic challenges and those who are applying to competitive graduate programs. And he never seems to forget a name.
Mr. Brian Crouse with President Dr. Richard Florizone
As one of his nominators says, despite not having a background in academic advising or training in various advising theories, Brian does 鈥渨hat we want everyone to do: impact the student experience for the better and make students feel proud to be part of the 9 1免费版下 experience.鈥
Brian has also played an important role in supporting international students from AC鈥檚 Indian partnerships and the Brazilian Science Without Borders program and uses his industry connections to help students identify and achieve their career goals.
For being an indispensable resource to the students, staff and faculty members on the Agricultural Campus, Brian Crouse received the 2014 Outstanding Undergraduate Staff Advisor Award.
